2 celluloid flower bangles from the 1930's.  These were usually made in Japan. They are not carved- but moulded in a long strip - then cut, bent round and joined up.  You can see the single join.  They were often made in single colours that immitated natural materials like jade, coral and ivory.  The ivory coloured one in the picture has 2 elephants and flowers.  It measures approx 2 1/2 inches in diameter and approx 1 inch in width.  It is ?58.  The coral coloured has lilly of the valley flowers.  It measures approx 2 4/5ths in diameter and approx 4/5ths inches in width.  It is ?68.  These have gone up in price a lot recently and my prices reflect what I have to pay to get good examples.  I usually have a selection at Vintage Modes, Grays Antiques in central London.
