Description
This is an Art Deco green and silver glass belt buckle. The particular green is often used in Art Deco decoration. Belt Buckles were bought to go with a dress that would have been either at home or by a dress maker. They were simple to use. This one would take a belt measuring 4/5ths inch – or 2cm. This would probably have been in a similar material to the dress. I have cheated and bought a suitable belt in a charity shop of the correct width – cut off the buckle and sewn my Deco buckle on. The buckle measures just over 2 inches x 1 1/2 inches.
