DESCRIPTION: A diamante double dress clip brooch from the Art Deco period. Set on a white metal – it has both round and baguette diamante stones. The brooch comes apart into two separate dress clips.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Dress clips were very popular during the period 1920-1950s and then disappeared! They were worn singly or in pairs – maybe on a square necked dress. This can be worn as brooch or it comes apart into two separate dress clips which attach to a frame. Please see pictures. There were very many different types of frame that they attached to – depending on who made the item! This one looks very 1940s to me.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: Condition is good. The stones are not quite as bright as when new but are all present and shiny. It measures about 2 3/4 x 1 inch.
