DESCRIPTION: This is an Art Deco period bakelite napkin ring in the shape of a red bird/duck with a black beak.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Bakelite napkin rings were made in all sorts of shapes, sizes, colours. People collected them according to taste – maybe by colour, shape, width etc. Some had wheels. There were plain round ones but the animals usually stood up. This one is in great red colour with just a hint of marbling. It has a black beak.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: Height and width about 2 1/2 inches. Depth about 1/2 inch. Good overall condition – a little wear but no damage.
