DESCRIPTION: A blue flower brooch attributed to Hattie Carnegie. Gold tone metal with blue Dynel sythetic fibre. 1960s.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This brooch is widely attributed to Hattie Carnegie and was made in a large colour range. It is quite well known and collectible. It has a large blue flower made of Dynel synthetic fibre with a centre faux turquoise stone. There were lots made – in the 1960s I think. Hattie Carnegie was famous in the 1950s for her high quality costume jewellery – and had shops in New York. She started her costume jewellery range in 1939.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: The condition is good. It measures across the flower about 3 1/4 inches and total length about 6 inches.
