Description
DESCRIPTION: Three celluloid flower bangles – 1930s – in a cream/ivorine colour. These are £50 each – or three for £120.
ADDITIONAL IFOMATION: These celluloid flower bangles were made around the 1930s – probably in Japan – the centre of the celluloid manufacture. They often feature flowers, birds and animals. They come in certain colours – red, jade, ivorine and coral usually. They are made in long strips of moulded celluloid – which is then cut and bent round into a circle and joined together so you will see one join.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: Good condition on the outside. The insides are not always perfect – sometime there is some extra colouring. They measure the usual inside diameter 2 1/2 inches which is standard for the time.
