When researching Houbigant I found out that the firm had been making perfume from 1775! The basket of flowers stretches back to when Jean-Frances Houbigant opened his shop in Paris and had a hand painted sign of a basket of flowers. (see www.houbigant-parfum.com) This box of Houbigant powder - which I understand from the collector I bought it from - is from the 1950s, The design is much earlier and I do not know why she considers this box to be later. Maybe someone can tell me! It has the basket of flowers on the front. It is unopened and is in good condition - considering it is probably about 60 years old. The colour of the powder is Halee. The box measures approx. 2 4/5 inches. Ref: 3162 C46.
