DESCRIPTION: A Monet long chain gold tone and white metal twisted necklace. Date unknown. Have put it in Vintage but it could be newer.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: In 1957 Monet established his company that made largely gold tone jewellery. The quality of the gold plating was very good. Please see my ‘Notes on Manufacturers’ in the blog section for more details of this company. They were taken over by the Liz Claiborne Company in the year 2000. The company is still – to my knowledge – in operation but I don’t think it is being sold new in Europe.
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITION: Very good condition. Marked on tag ‘c MONET’ and on clasp. Measures about 30 inches.
